JRS Uganda operates from two key locations, ensuring comprehensive support for displaced individuals. The main offices are situated in Kampala, while an additional office is established in Adjumani within the West Nile Region. In Kampala, JRS has successfully implemented various projects that cater to the needs of urban refugees.
To extend their reach and impact within the city, they have established a satellite office in Rubaga, a vibrant Kampala suburb. This strategic move enables us to better serve the diverse urban refugee community.
In Adjumani, JRS focuses on providing essential assistance to refugees, asylum seekers, and the most vulnerable members of the host community, extending their reach to the neighboring district of Obongi. Their comprehensive services encompass a wide range of vital areas such as basic needs, education, mental health and psychosocial support, livelihoods, socio-economic integration, pastoral care, peacebuilding, and reconciliation.
By addressing these crucial aspects, they empower refugees and asylum seekers to integrate seamlessly into their host communities. Their approach is complemented by Uganda’s progressive refugee laws and freedoms, ensuring that refugees are treated with dignity and have the opportunity to become self-reliant. Through this holistic support, JRS Uganda strives to foster resilience, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging among displaced populations, ultimately building stronger communities.
